This option provides a simple solution for cleaners with potentially uninsured risks.
Our combined programs are ideally suited to small to medium-sized businesses that provide advice or design services but do not have, nor can obtain the traditional Professional Indemnity insurance. It particularly benefits contracting companies that are required by Principals to have Professional Indemnity insurance when offering services such as cleaning or facilities management.
Cover arranged through our program includes:
- Cleaning during business hours – (a minimum of 5 years’ experience required)
- Cover can be provided for sub-contractors*
- Cover provided for loss of documents (excluding own documents)
- Pay-by-the-month option^
- Principal’s endorsement (often required in contracts)
- Shopping Centre (including arcades and mall) cleaning*
- Specialist cleaning e.g. airports, mine sites*
- Your choice of excess*.

Sexual Molestation Liability (SML) Insurance is a specialised policy designed to protect contracting companies from the severe legal and financial consequences associated with claims of physical, emotional, and sexual abuse.
This insurance is essential for any business that provides services in environments involving children or vulnerable adults. If you provide cleaning services for the following sectors, you may be contractually obligated to hold SML Insurance:
- Educational Institutions & Childcare: Schools, tutoring services, after-school care, and daycare centres.
- Healthcare & Support Providers: Aged care facilities, NDIS providers, and professionals caring for the elderly or people with disabilities.
- Community & Religious Groups: Charities, non-profits, sports clubs, church groups, and youth outreach programs.
Beyond strict internal preventative measures and compliance, holding a standalone SML policy reinforces your organisation’s credibility. It demonstrates a proactive commitment to ethical standards and the safety of the vulnerable people you serve.
Important Information
• This policy is underwritten separately from both the Public Liability and Cleaners’ Bucket programmes and is arranged as a standalone policy.
• A minimum base premium of $5,000 plus Government Charges and Broker Fee applies.
